Cherries........Why I love them ;-)

I pick cherries as my #1 fruit for weight loss.

With cherries, you can't just pop 30 in your mouth in two mins like you could, and probably often do, with grapes or blueberries.  Instead, the pits force you to eat them slowly, allowing your satiation sensors to chime in a prevent you from over-indulging.

So that's reason #1 – built in portion control.

Reason #2, and it's a BIG one, is that cherries have the LOWEST glycemic index of all fruits, and one of the lowest glycemic indexes of any carbohydrate source—period.

Scoring at a ridiculously low 22, you can even snack on cherries in the evening without much detriment as their effect on insulin is minimal at best.  Again, it's not late-night eating that's the problem, it's eating the wrong foods (those that cause a substantial rise in fat-loss halting insulin) in evening hours that is.

So next time you're in the mood for a sweet, satisfyng snack, reach for a small bowl of cherries and enjoy the goodness.  My new favorite variety is Rainier cherries….Mmm mmm good :)

If you can't get the fruit in the kids check out the HERO Gummies through http://tracy.mynsp.com

or the Beyond Tangy Tangerine from Youngevity its the best! I drink it everyday just in case I don't get my vitamins in http://my90forlife.com/tracywight

Today's Topic....Emotional Eating

We all emotional eat for different reason's and feelings we have.  I went through a horrific trauma in May of 2013 that forever changed my life....I lost my son, I went through all the typical emotions, blaming, hate, sadness, disgust, wanting to know why, feeling sick, not eating, then over eating for comfort, etc.  It was a roller coaster that some people never find their way off of.  Well it is possible to get off, its a choice, everything about life is a choice.  Reading books didn't help much either...... so I had to decide to take my life back. Or I could just wallow around in sadness forever but that didn't sound like much fun to me and I have 3 other kids that I adore as well as 2 step kids........... So make the choice to make your changes in your life and do it NOW!!!

Biofeedback is great for emotional problems because it is a stress reducing machine. my problem was at first I was so out of it I couldn't even help myself. My problem was I lost my 11 year old son in 2013 and if it were not for this machine....I'm sure I'd be on some sort of antidepressant... It works with the body to peel layers of stress we hold on to..

Enter “emotional eating”.

Simply put, emotional eating can be absolutely catastrophic to any diet plan.

“And things were going SO well….”

Yes, I know the feeling.

Time to put an end to that nonsense once and for all.

When talking about emotional eating, it’s most common to find “stress” right there at the root of the problem.  We get stressed, we eat Ben & Jerry’s. It’s human nature.

BUT, it sure isn’t helping us along the path to a better, healthier body. And this is exactly where people go wrong.

Let’s face the facts, we ALL do and will continue to deal with stress on a regular basis. It’s a part of life that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. But it’s how we deal with the stress that can either lead to a fitter, healthier lifestyle, or a fatter, unhappy, unhealthy one.

You see, when dealing with stress, we’ll ultimately either choose a “negative” or a “positive” way to cope with that stress.

And here’s the most important thing to realize in this whole discussion: If you do not ACTIVELY look for, plan for, and choose positive ways to cope with stress, you WILL resultantly, almost naturally, choose negative coping mechanisms (such as stuffing your face with 87 chocolate chip cookies, which by the way I have NEVER done…I cut it off around 63 because I have a little something called discipline.  Geez).

But, the good news is that there is a ton of “positive” ways to cope with stress. Here are a few that I really enjoy, and much prefer over accumulating body fat and being even more depressed:

1. Going for a jog, long walk, or drive

I love all three of these activities because it gives me the opportunity to let me mind just zone out and think. In fact, when I go for a run when I’m stressed I find that I don’t really even realize I’m exercising because my mind is distracting me so much from the fact that I’m really “working”. It’s pretty cool when you’ve gone a mile or two without even realizing it’s been that long/far. At the same time, I’m clearing my mind and getting the “feel good” endorphins pumping throughout my cerebellum—great to relieve stress, even better for my body.

And if for whatever reason I just don’t feel up for exercising, I’ll hop in the car and go for a drive. Nothing like cruisin’ (FGL shout out) and thinking a bit to clear my mind and cope with whatever may be currently going on in my life.

2. Jammin’ out to some KILLER music

I absolutely love music. I go to concerts like it’s nobody’s business and just love how music can evoke so many different types of emotional responses.

And you know what’s even better? Combining music with one of the activities from #1 above.

Boo-yah, stress be gone!

Do you want to seriously end emotional and binge eating habits once and for all?  Then you HAVE to make a conscious effort to find and choose healthy, positive coping mechanisms.

Biofeedback is great for emotional problems because it is a stress reducing machine.  I lost my 11 year old son in 2013 and if it were not for this machine....I'm sure I'd be on some sort of antidepressant... It works with the body to peel layers of stress we hold on to..

Eggs,,,,,Good or bad?

Now, I’m sure you’ve heard a time or two before that you should be mindful of consuming too many eggs as their cholesterol content is rather high.

I’ve even heard the recommendation that eggs should only be eaten once per week to avoid cholesterol issues. If that’s the case, I’m probably due to die rather soon.
Fortunately, it’s not.
You see, for years we have been told that cholesterol intake should be kept to a bare minimum as doing so will help to decrease blood cholesterol levels and promote overall health, and although the theory of lowering dietary cholesterol intake to lower internal cholesterol makes logical sense, the theory doesn’t quite pan out, as our bodies are, generally, more complex creatures than our logical minds give them credit for.
Fact is, when dietary intake of cholesterol is decreased, the liver compensates by producing more cholesterol, leaving total cholesterol levels relatively unchanged. In the same way, if cholesterol consumption is increased, the liver produces less cholesterol, and again, total cholesterol values will not be substantially altered.
Now that’s not to say that we should go hog wild with our intake of cholesterol, but it does mean that one can expect cholesterol levels to remain relatively stable over a wide range of dietary intakes.
Given this information, you may be wondering why the body would ever produce more cholesterol if cholesterol is so “bad”, and that’s a good question.
The truth is, cholesterol actually acts as an antioxidant against dangerous free radicals within the blood and is also necessary for the production of certain hormones that help to fight against heart disease.
When there are high levels of undesirable substances in the blood (caused by the dietary intake of damaged fats, highly processed “unhealthy” foods, and large quantities of sugars), cholesterol levels rise in order to combat these substances.
Blaming heart disease on high cholesterol is like blaming infection on high levels of antibodies (special proteins produced by the body in order to defend against foreign bacteria and infectious agents).  If the body allowed cholesterol to fall in the presence of large amounts of free radicals, our risk for heart disease would increase, not decrease, and fortunately our bodies won’t let that happen.
So, the answer to decreasing blood cholesterol levels is not avoiding omelets and not necessarily decreasing dietary cholesterol intake, but rather improving ones diet overall by eating healthier in general and avoiding the other harmful types of foods mentioned.

Combine that with increased physical activity and both you and your cholesterol levels will be in even better shape.

Cherries!! Controlling cravings

You've probably heard the tip that if you're interested in losing weight, it's a good idea to eat slowly and chew your food at least 15-20 times before swallowing.  Doing so allows your brain and body to actually sense that it's full, instead of cramming a bunch of food down your throat only to find out 30 mins later that you're WAY stuffed.

And for that reason (and a few others), I'm picking cherries as my #1 fruit for weight loss.

With cherries, you can't just pop 30 in your mouth in two mins like you could, and probably often do, with grapes or blueberries.  Instead, the pits force you to eat them slowly, allowing your satiation sensors to chime in a prevent you from over-indulging.

Need a grocery plan to eat healthy and still save money?

How are you doing on your new eating plan? Or another question...how is your grocery bill doing?
Many times I see people putting off a new, healthy way of life because they think it will cost more money.

I'm on a budget just like anyone else, and if I couldn't buy all my food within the "grocery budget" it would just be too difficult to maintain this way of life.
Here are some of the strategies I recommend for keeping this way of eating affordable:
1. Don't buy junk! It's not on your eating plan, and it isn't healthy for your family. You might be surprised to find out how much of your current grocery bill goes to snacks and "treats" that are NOT treating you well. I'm talking about the processed, preservative-packed stuff like snack bars, juice, frozen dessert treats, microwave snacks and meals, chips, crackers, candy, and other packaged stuff. Stop buying it!
2. Buy bulk. Items like almonds, quinoa, walnuts, oats and even apples can be purchased at bulk prices at stores like Vitamin Cottage, Costco, and even online. Even grass-fed meat can be purchased in bulk from local ranchers, farmer's markets or online stores. I always buy coconut oil in huge tubs online! Thinking BIG is a great way to keep costs under control.
3. Buy from the source. As much as possible, buy from places like farmer's markets, local ranchers, and even butchers, where you can buy direct from the source. This isn't always cheaper, but it gives you a chance to cut out the middle man and that can sometimes yield a significant savings.
4. Only buy organic for the stuff you need to. One word that especially scares people and sometimes gets them running in the opposite direction is the word "organic," as if they might go broke just by saying it. Again, I assure you, I cannot spend heaps of money each week buying luxury grocery items and that includes produce that doesn't even NEED to be organic

HCG Diets, Do they work or NOT?

What Is The HCG Diet?

This diet was fairly popular in the 1950’s until it became clear that there was insufficient evidence to support using HCG for fatloss. As with most fad diets, the HCG Diet has resurfaced and makes some pretty outlandish claims. Many of the products declare that the diet will “reset your metabolism”, change “abnormal eating patterns” and result with a “loss of 1-2 pounds per day.”

HCG is a hormone produced in women by the placenta during pregnancy. HCG is sold as a prescription drug approved by the Food & Drug Administration for various medical conditions including the treatment of female infertility (but not weight-loss). The diet requires a daily injection of this hormone along with a scary obligation to eat a very low calorie diet of ONLY 500 CALORIES A DAY!

Why Do People Lose So Fast?

In short, people are actually losing twenty pounds and more per month because they are starving themselves! If you stop eating, you will likely drop weight quickly no matter what you are injecting into your body.

It’s insane really… it will cost you hundreds of dollars a month and the real secret to this diet is… starvation. You don’t have to pay for that… you can starve yourself free of charge. =) (Which I don’t recommend, unless you want to do serious, long-term damage to your metabolism.)

The HCG label actually states, there “is no substantial evidence that it increases weight-loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or ‘normal’ distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie-restricted diets.”

Is It Safe?

No matter your size, that level of calorie restriction is severe and does not lack consequences. These include, but are not limited to, gallstone formation, irregular heartbeat, vitamin & mineral deficiency and electrolyte imbalance. This means that the HCG diet is not only unhealthy, it’s hazardous.

Keep in mind that following this diet will give you an increased risk of headaches, blood clots, restlessness and depression. In addition, the HCG can give you pregnancy-like symptoms, such as water retention, breast tenderness and swelling. And finally, HCG can also cause a condition called OHSS, or ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, which is potentially life-threatening.

In addition to the calorie restriction being unsafe, the HCG hormone is actually illegal for over the counter sale for any reason. In fact, it’s not approved for weight-loss even as a prescription. The FDA is warning any consumer currently using HCG for fat-loss to stop taking it and to stop following the dieting instructions immediately. I recommend this too!

My suggestion? Stick to what we know works—eating natural, wholesome foods, healthy supplements and exercise—and don’t be fooled, misled or tempted by fad starvation diets and short-term, DANGEROUS fixes that require you to inject hormones in your body!

Fortunately, there's actually a brand new way to balance your fat-burning hormones for massive fat loss without the use of these dangerous methods.  The best part?  It only take 30-seconds to implement each day:

GMO Foods, What do you think??

They are still trying to push the Salmon through the FDA is still checking it meaning what?  14 years now...
The Salmon Im talking about grows 10x faster its twice its normal size and it needs 10-25 less nutrition so my question is? Does that even sound remotely good?

So most of us like Salmon but our water are getting more contaminated every year. so the Best Salmon is still "Wild" and the Farm raised well I wouldn't eat it over Wild.

you can go to http://tracy.mynsp.com look for the
Omegas # 1515-7
Omegas with DHA a chew for kids
or go to http://t[racywight.my90forlife.com
look for EFA
So you see you do have many options  DO NOT BUY VITAMIN'S FROM THE GROCERY STORE MOST TIMES THEY ARE GMO.

if you have any problems you can send me a message and i will get back to you!!

And if you see food under "GRAS" instead of "GMO" it means Generally Regarded as Safe. They have done no adequate testing but since no one has reported a death the FDA figures it's safe...

Farmers are growing pest resistant foods which just means the pesticides are grown in the plant so bugs won't like it but it's ok for us to eat, right??

And to make it worse they can't promise your always getting organic because stuff blows around and cross contamination is happening like with the corn that was not safe for humans but ok for cows.
Well I eat steak so what exactly am I eating. And that very same corn was cross contaminated with "El Paso" corn taco shells and they did a huge recall because it isn't safe for humans to eat.

So what we can do is clean the liver to keep our selves healthy, Why?  Because when you liver gets over loaded your body will not function the way its suppose to.. it get all sluggish and doesn't work right so
Flush Flush FLush!
