Insomnia...

I’m sure you know that the age-old practice of meditation has many wellness benefits: It can improve heart rate, ward off illness and reduce stress, depression and even insomnia. Surprising as this may be, it can also increase your ability to burn calories throughout the day! Studies show that meditation slows down the release of cortisol, a steroid in the body that slows your metabolism. Meditation also stabilizes your mental state and helps control eating binges.

Cellulite What???

The best diet to reduce the appearance of cellulite is one that contains high quality, whole-food proteins that are not laced with preservatives, sodium, and sugar (foods like organic beef and chicken, organic eggs and purified whey proteins), plenty of colorful vegetables and fruits to provide fiber, antioxidants and potassium to balance sodium, and plentiful whole food fats, especially those high in unsaturated fats like avocados, egg yolks, fish, fish oil and krill oils, and olives and olive oil. And last but not least get off your BOOM BOOM and move!!!

Fat cells what are they really??

So here we go!!
Normal, healthy, fatty tissue development (growth of new fat cells, not fat cell size) begins in the womb and continues until a child is 18 months old. It then picks up again during puberty.  In today’s society, with all the junk food and excessive calories, some children are in a constant state of fat cell growth and potentially new fat cells. (Hint) (Stop with the FREE refills) In women, the outer areolar layer is thicker ( lucky us) and the skin covering it is usually thinner which is the case right from birth. As a woman ages and gains more body fat from an increase in the inner lamellar layer, it makes the fat cells in the areolar layer more visible.
Keep yourself active!

Babies will loose the baby fat, if they have good role models, you as adults set the stage for the kids if you lay around eating chips all day chances are your kids will too!!

Are your hormones drying you out

Moisture is your skin's best friend, but sometimes it can feel like the enemy.
By your mid-30s, keeping your skin hydrated can seem like a losing battle. Your skin naturally begins to get a little drier. Your cell renewal slows down and your natural supply of key nutrients like hyaluronic acid and collagen tapers off.
But if you've tried countless moisturizers and anti-aging serums without relief, there could be another factor at work, too.
Did you know your hormones could be causing that dryness?

I think of the body's hormones as musical instruments in an orchestra: Each plays its own part in creating a perfect concert—until the day one is out of tune and throws off the entire melody.

Although it was many years ago, I still remember one of the first patients I saw with a hormonal disturbance. She was a lovely woman in her early 40s who was a little heavy; despite having tried every diet under the sun, she couldn't seem to shed the extra pounds. As we talked and she mentioned a few more of her concerns—dry skin, brittle hair, a lack of energy (even shortly after her morning coffee)—I realized I needed to test her thyroid levels. Sure enough, they were too low. With proper medication, my patient's skin and energy improved, and she was no longer a prisoner to a simple chemical imbalance.

No one should have to live with an untreated hormone problem. Some require medical care, while others may be addressed with lifestyle adjustments, but almost all are treatable. Here is a guide to some of the most common signs of hormone imbalance—and what you can do to restore harmony.
